Tutor develops the user's confidence and skill in re-writing terms
in index form with roots, brackets, powers and reciprocals … and
vice versa!
This program has proven to be excellent for the teaching and consolidation
of the basic aspects of index notation before more complex algebraic
expressions are tackled. Progress can be swift through the levels
and completion of the final level offers clear proof of competency
at the topic.

of challenge, from expanding brackets with powers to reciprocals
of roots and powers.
> Levels include conversion from index form to root form, and
vice versa.
> Normal syntax rules of writing expressions are followed, including
omission of powers of 1.
> Prompts for reciprocals, root signs, brackets, fractional indices,
negative indices, etc, allow students ease of use and give them
exposure to the correct terminology.
> Accepts either solution where there are 2 answers - those with
and those without brackets.
> Where repeated incorrect answers are inputted, the correct
answer is displayed.
> Users progress to the next level once three consecutive questions
have been answered correctly. For completion of level 10, the user
must answer 10 consecutive questions correctly!
