Introduction
The Polwarth Toddler Group aims to provide a friendly,
safe environment for children to participate in various activities and
for parents/carers to meet.
We have a wide selection of toys, bikes, trampoline, slides, dressing
up etc.
Simple craft activities include painting, gluing, sticking, drawing and
often focuses on year theme e.g. mothers/fathers day cards, Christmas
cards/decorations, Easter cards etc.
In fine weather we often meet in the garden.
Other Activities
Cultural events throughout the year such as
> an Easter egg hunt
> a Halloween Party
> a Christmas Party
Group Outings which have included in the past...
> tractor ride & farm animals at Almondvale Heritage Centre Livingston
with picnic
> Teddy Bear Picnic at the Zoo
> Soft play and Bouncy Castle at Bonnyrigg Leisure Centre with picnic.
New ideas and suggestions are always welcome.
We always have a Singsong to finish the afternoon.
How the Group Works
The parents/carers run the group voluntarily and
everyone is required
to help out a little.
A committee oversees the group and members re-elected each year at the
January AGM (a social occasion too!).
The committee needs your help and support.
Nights Out
These have proved to be very enjoyable and are a
good way to get to know everyone better.
Progressive Dinner Parties were very successful during the Summer and
at Christmas.
Nearly New Sales
Up until October 2006, these were organised in association
with this group.
From April 2007, they are being run independently from the group.
